Transversal training

Doctoral students enrolled in the ES Doctoral School must validate 120 hours of additional training in their thesis course (approximately 40 hours per year), including approximately 30 hours of training preparing for future professional integration, which can be found in the “Career pursuit” or “Management & entrepreneurship” or “Knowledge & teaching tools” sections of the doctoral college’s cross-disciplinary training catalog

Since 2018-2019, ALL doctoral students must follow at least 9 hours of training during the duration of their doctorate (decree of May 25, 2016 setting the national training framework and the procedures leading to issuance of the national doctoral degree); even if you benefit from a partial or total exemption (request to be made in writing to the ED: JCE doctoral student, employee, CIFRE allowance, joint supervision thesis, research center outside Dijon, absence justified by unavoidable constraints and doctoral contract “more”).

The UBFC Doctoral College has set up a unique cross-disciplinary training offer dedicated to all doctoral students in the Bourgogne Franche-Comté region throughout their doctorate.

This interdisciplinary training offer will allow doctoral students to acquire knowledge and skills complementary to those acquired during their research and a broader scientific culture to strengthen their knowledge with a view to pursuing their careers.

The UBFC transversal training catalog is organized around 10 themes: CommunicationKnowledge and teaching toolsInternational scientific culture and promotionResearch ethics and scientific integrityDocumentary trainingComputer science and scientific modelingLanguagesManagement and entrepreneurshipCareer pursuitOpen science
